Laval (Mayenne). The castle of Laval, imposing building which dates back to the eleventh century now houses the finest collection of Naive Art in Europe. A posthumous tribute to one of the children of Laval, Henri Rousseau. Old Castle overlooking the Mayenne by his feudal architecture and its massive tower. The tower dates from the XIIth century it measures 45 meters high and 14 m in diameter. The castle is actually a part of a whole infrastructure of walls, to protect the city.
