Description: Picture of Lobb's Cemetery and Yohogania County Courthouse Site in Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, on November 14, 2009. The cemetery is clearly visible, however, the courthouse is long gone. There were no signs, so one can guess where the courthouse may have been, though I've read it was "on the hilltop above" where the cemetery is located. The cemetery is old, many of the gravestones are indecipherable. Some supposedly date back to around the time of the American Revolution, and back when Yohogania County existed. I saw a marker for a Revolutionary War Veteran, but no stone to go with the marker. Supposedly, some of the rebels involved in the Whiskey Rebellion were buried in this cemetery around 1794. For the most part, the gravestones that are decipherable are from the 1800s. The site is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
