Description: View downstream from Westminster Pier - in 1958. Hungerford Railway Bridge (with footbridge only on the downstream side) is prominent, as is the old Shot Tower still standing by the quite new Royal Festival Hall. Over to the right they are beginning to build the Shell Tower. In the distance St Paul's Cathedral seems to stand alone and between the cranes the new Bankside Power Station is just visible. Much else is yet to come in the next 50 years!
