Description: The tartan of the Loyal Clan Donnachie Volunteers, a unit of irregulars raised in 1803; and later the hunting tartan of Clan Robertson/Duncan/Donnachaidh, also called the Robertson of Kindeace tartan. It is one of the few early regimental tartans that was not closely based on Black Watch, though it was clearly an influence. This image is not exactly full-sett, and cannot tile horizontally and vertically; this centred and zoomed-out version was created for tabular comparison to other regimental tartans. Scottish Register of Tartans notes on this pattern: "A specimen of this tartan was included in the Cockburn Collection 1810-15. It is thought to be the sett of the kilts for the Loyal Clan Donnachie Volunteers raised in 1803. The sett is reputedly ancient and said to have been used only by the Robertsons of the North for which reason it is also known as Robertson of Kindeace." This is a usual, mirroring tartan. SRT-provided thread count (in "/" notation, and with SRT's overly nuanced, non-standard colour codes normalised to standard tartan colours): /W6 K2 B24 K24 G32 K2 R4 K2 G32 K24 B4 K4 B4 K4 B48/ (or in boldfacing notation: W6 K2 B24 K24 G32 K2 R4 K2 G32 K24 B4 K4 B4 K4 B48).
