Description: 20 year old First Lt. Lyle J. Bouck, Jr., platoon leader of the 394th Infantry Division’s Intelligence and Reconnaissance unit. The 18-man platoon was instrumental in delaying by nearly an entire day the advance of the entire German 1st Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Parachute Division during the Battle of the Bulge.
