Description: Picture of Madison Elementary School located at 3401 Milwaukee Street (at the corner of Milwaukee and Orion Streets) in the Upper Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on December 12, 2009. The school was built in 1902, added to in 1929, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The exterior features ornately decorated Romanesque-inspired doors and windows. Architects: Ulysses J. Lincoln Peoples, Pringle & Robling. Architectural style: Romanesque Revival, Art Deco. A sign on the building said the following: "School closed. For questions about 2006-2007 school assignment, please call parent hotline 412-622-7920".
