Description: Rotator from the Canberra Homopolar Generator, developed during 1951-1964 at the Research School of Physical Sciences, Australian National University, under the direction of Sir Mark Oliphant. The CMG was dismantled in 1985. Certain parts were constructed into an artwork, and placed beside the school.
