Description: The four children of Edward and Henrietta (Wigmore) McGill, Canadian homesteaders in Minnedosa, Manitoba. From left to right: Harold, Herbert, Margaret and Frances. Frances McGill (1882-1959) grew up to become a prominent forensic pathologist, assisting the RCMP in hundreds of police investigations between 1920 and 1959. Harold McGill (1879-1961) grew up to become a physician and provincial politician. Margaret became a nurse, and Herbert eventually went into banking.
