Description: The Merchants' Exchange Building at the intersection of Walnut and S. Third Streets in the Old City neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania was built in 1834 and was designed by William Strickland in the Greek revival style. The oldest stock exchange building in the United States, it is now the headquarters of the Independence National Historical Park. (Source: Historical marker at the building)
