Description: Another water intake for milling from the C & O Canal, this one at 0.98 miles and is almost under Key Bridge. NPS states it was built between 1900 and 1919. This was for turning a water wheel. Canal sold water to the mills. The NPS site says: The Dual Water Intake - Wilkins Rogers Milling Co., is located at Key Bridge below the Hydroelectric Plant and is a concrete double intake with two 7’ openings that are 6’ high.
