Description: A 1974 Mini Clubman SRV4 Safety Research Vehicle. One of the vehicles British Leyland produced as part of a joint safety project with the Transport and Road Research Laboratory. It features: a strengthened passenger cell, impact resistant low-mounted bumpers, fully padded interior, and pedestrian-friendly bonnet, longer wheelbase with engine moved forward, high door sills and relocated fuel tank. Photographed at the Alec Issigonis centenary rally at the Heritage Motor Centre, Gaydon, UK. This vehicle is kept at the Heritage Motor Centre.
