Description: The Museum of Contemporary Art Busan (MOCA Busan) is a public art museum set up by Busan Metropolitan City. Located on Eulsukdo Island in the lower Nakdong River estuary, the building, with a total floor area reaching 15,312, was completed in 2017 on a site of 29,900. Within this three-story building are exhibit spaces (5,780m2) on the basement level and on its first and second floors. Added included in this building are a storage area, a seminar room, an experience room, a children’s library, a reference room, a curatorial office, and other offices. The museum plans multi-pronged activities to associate the region with art and introduce the world to the future, designating Nature, New Media, and Humanity as its seminal agenda. The museum has high hopes for its intriguing art that pursues positive relationships between nature and humankind. The art shared at this forum will be used to highlight the circumstances we now face, as well as the changes in society, science and technology.
