Description: This picture was taken at the 2008 Nobel Laureate Meetings at Lindau in the ceremony hall of the historic town-hall of Lindau, Germany, in the late afternoon (approx. 5 pm) on Thursday 21st of August 2008. The flags in the historic hall can be seen in the background; the blue ribbon that Scholes is wearing is holding his name badge and characteristic for the Lindau Nobel Meetings, where the light blue colour is reserved for laureates (and their family; press wears yellow, sponsors red, young researchers white).
