Description: President Joko Widodo and First Lady Iriana Joko Widodo received a state visit by Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at the Bogor Presidential Palace, West Java Province, on Monday, 19 June 2023. This was Emperor Naruhito's first visit to Indonesia since ascending the throne to become Emperor of Japan on 1 May 2019. The convoy of Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako's vehicles arrived at the gates of the Bogor Palace at around 10.00 WIB accompanied by Indonesian troops, cavalry and the musical corps of the Presidential Security Force (Paspampres). President Jokowi and Mrs. Iriana then greeted the two when they got out of the car and immediately shook hands.
