Description: Nesquehoning Creek at the bridge on Industrial Road, Green Acres Industrial Park, Nesquehoning in Carbon County. This is the Nesquehoning Creek tributary of the Lehigh River in Eastern Pennsylvania's Southern Anthracite Coal Region. The banks of the valley of this stream were used to create an important East-West Railroad Transportation corridor climbing the left bank slopes of Broad Mountain and the right bank slopes of Nesquehoning Ridge as it climbs forming their mutual feet from Nesquehoning, Pennsylvania in Carbon County and the confluence with the Lehigh River to the knob or join of the two ridgelines looming steeply over the escarpment dropping to the Little Schuylkill River in Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania overlooking Tamaqua, Pennsylvania.
