Description: Tub mill at the Noah "Bud" Ogle place near Cherokee Orchard, GSMNP, in East Tennessee. The sloping log on the right was part of the mill race, which carried water from a nearby stream to turn the tire-shaped turbine, known as a tub wheel. The mill, which is still operational, was mainly used to grind corn and wheat.
