Description: The mediaeval Buttercross in the Market Place of Oakham, Rutland, England. It is a Grade I Listed Building. The buildings behind belong to Oakham School. To the left is School House, built in 1858 on the site of late 16th-century almshouses built by the school's founder, Archdeacon Robert Johnson. To the right is Chapel Close, the school's administrative centre.
