Description: Looking westbound along the north sidewalk of New York State Route 25A (Main Street) in Huntington, New York at a Historic Marker for the former Huntington Fire Department, which had a station here between 1911 and 1958. The marker boasts that the station had the first motorized fire engine on Long Island. Today that station is an extension of a furniture shop next door to the west.
