Description: A schematic of the construction of an overhead door. Note that the 2 rails are completely seperate (the door wheels cannot move from rail 1 to rail 2). The upper wheels connect to the horizontal rails, and the lower ones connect to the vertical rails. Also not that in this design, the counterweight connects to 2 separate metal wires wich are each connected to the lower wheels (not the upper wheels). The schematic was made by simply analysing KVDP's current home garage door and drawing it over.
