Description: Correct term: Yab-Yum, which represents the primordial union of wisdom and compassion. The male figure is usually linked to karuṇā, compassion, and upaya, skillful means, while the female partner relates to prajñā, insight. Padmasambhava was renowned as a tantric exorcist. He was invited to tibet by king Thisong Detsen(766-797A.D.) to tame the demons obstructing the path of Buddhism. Here he is depicted in yab-yum composition with his shakti. The statue is currently in prince of whales museum, Mumbai
