The male figure is usually linked to karuṇā, compassion, and upaya, skillful means, while the female partner relates to prajñā, insight. Padmasambhava was renowned as a tantric exorcist. He was invited to tibet by king Thisong Detsen(766-797A.D.) to tame the demons obstructing the path of Buddhism. Here he is depicted in yab-yum composition with his shakti. The statue is currently in prince of whales museum, Mumbai
