Image: Phase diagram of sulfur (1975)
Description: These 1975 phase diagrams are generally incomplete, reaching at most 250 kbar (25 GPa) and thus lacking many high-pressure metallic phases. Taken from "Phase Diagrams of the Elements", David A. Young, UCRL-51902 "Prepared for the U.S. Energy Research & Development Administration under contract No. W-7405-Eng-48". From the document, "DISTRIBUTION OF THIS DOCUMENT IS UNLIMITED"; printed copies were available from the w:National Technical Information Service. Note that the paper describes a "confused situation" and disagreements among sources on high pressure phases in 1975; for many uses a more modern source is recommended.
