Description: PIFCO Universal-Prüfer, made in the Josef Neuberger factory of electrical measuring instruments in Munich. A multimeter in the shape of a pocket watch from the 1930s, available at that time for 9 Reichsmark. A test lead was plugged into the top end. Later versions have a Bakelite case to reduce the risk of electric shock when being handled. A battery is installed in the housing for the continuity test. The multimeter can measure voltage in two ranges, current, test continuity and the heating filament of a vacuum tube. The diameter of the meter is ca. 6.5 cm, the depth is ca. 5 cm.
