Description: The layout of the largest and most intricately carved Hindu cave temple at Badami, Karnataka 1: Vishnu 2: Trivikrama (Vishnu taking a giant step, 3-steps Vedic legend) 3: Vishnu on sesha naga 4: Vishnu avatar Varaha rescuing goddess earth (Bhudevi) 5: Harihara (half Shiva, half Vishnu) 6: Vishnu avatar Narasimha standing 7: Garbha ghriya (sacrum sanctum, image is missing) Blue O: ceiling carvings of Vedic and Puranic Hindu gods and goddesses (e.g. Indra, Agni, Varuna, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, Saraswati, Lakshmi, Parvati, etc) Enclosed squares: carved pillars showing social life, couples or individual women with various expressions, as well as amorous couples in courtship and mithuna.
