Description: Marguerite Yourcenar's funeral stone. It is very small, mesuring less than 5"x5". Her epitaph, in French, reads, "Plaise à Celui qui Est peut-être de dilater le coeur de l'homme à la mesure de toute la vie". This has been translated as, "May it please the One who perchance is to expand the human heart to life's full measure" in her novel The Abyss.
