Description: Port engine of Fireboat Firefighter 's Twin V16 1500HP Winton Diesel Engines. These engines are the heart of Fireboat Firefighter 's diesel electric engine system. Instead of directly turning the propellers, these engines power generators of which put out a total of 2,220 KW of electricity. That electricity generated is then used to power the entire vessel, most importantly the two electric propulsion motors that turn her 6ft tri-bladed screws and the four other motors that power her four 5,000gpm DeLaval Fire Pumps.
