Description: Prior Bolton's oriel window in the priory church of St Bartholomew the Great, London. The symbol cut in the stone in the centre panel below the window is a crossbow bolt (vertical) passing through a barrel or tun - hence a pun on the Prior's name. Installed inside the church of St Bartholomew the Great in the 16th century by William Bolton, allegedly so that he could spy on the monks.
