Description: Plan of the ground floor of the Palais-Royal in Paris as it was c. 1790 after the completion of the Salle Richelieu (which in 1799 became the principal theatre of the Comédie-Française). The plan also shows that the rue de Valois was extended south to the rue Saint-Honoré, through the site of the previous theatre, which had been destroyed by fire in 1781. The modifications were undertaken by the architect Victor Louis beginning in 1781. This plan was reconstructed in 1829 by the French architect Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine.
