Description: In 1831 ornithologist Robert Dunn visited Shetland to obtain specimens for his collection. He visited Ronas Voe and Ronas Hill a number of times, and this engraving from a sketch made by Dunn shows (from right to left) the Dunn's dog, Dunn himself, Dunn's son, Dunn's servant from Lerwick who he employed for the duration of his visit to Shetland, and the boatman employed to take Dunn to various locations around the area. The boatman is seen moving a chest from his boat, while a specimen is seen lying in the boat. Another boat under sail is in the background, adjacent to some of the sea stacks at the south end of the Lang Ayre. The image is used as the frontispiece to Robert Dunn's book The Ornithologist's Guide to the Islands of Orkney and Shetland
