Description: A detail from a Royal Exchange Assurance lead firemark badge bearing a picture of the Royal Exchange tower, designed by Edward Jarman in 1721. This badge design is believed to have been the inspiration for the design of Herne Bay clock tower. This one is on permanent display at the Swaledale Museum, Reeth, North Yorkshire, England. It is displayed as an example of items made with lead mined in Swaledale.
