Carpenter came to a back-to-school event to get families excited about the start of the school year. Carpenter, star of the Disney Channel series "Girl Meets World," was met by a line of families of active-duty and reserve service members waiting for their chance to get an autograph and snap a shot with the Disney star at the Marine Corps Exchange. "I am so excited to be here on a military base, getting to meet the families of the men and women who serve our nation every day," said Carpenter. "I know it can be hard getting back into school after summer break, but that’s why I'm here, to get the kids excited about going back to school."
