Description: The San Luis Reservoir near Los Banos, in the eastern slopes of the Diablo Range of western Merced County, California. San Luis Dam and its intake structure can be seen in the distance. The reservoir is used to store water for the California State Water Project. In addtion, it is the upper reservoir in a pumped-storage hydroelectric system. It was taken by me on April 25, 2002.
