Description: Scaevola taccada. Common names: Sea Lettuce. Merambong. Ambong-ambong. The tiny white flowers are "split" with 5 petals. This bush is often seen on shores and sandy beaches, in mangroves in sandy, well-drained areas. It is one of the most common seashore shrubs in Singapore.
The juice of the ripe fruit is dripped into the eye to cure eye inflammation.
