Description: Simplified arms of Sir William FitzWilliam, 1st Earl of Southampton, KG Southampton's stall plate remains installed within St. George's Chapel -- the arms thereon quarterly of thirteen. I used the quartered arms engraved on Blaeu's 1645 map of Southampton as my reference for this execution. However, I will be recreating the arms to include all 13 quarters as illustrated on his stall plate. The arms here are, quarterly: 1, lozengy argent and gules (Fitzwilliam) 2, gules, a saltire argent, a label for difference (Neville) 3, argent, three lozenges conjoined in fess gules (Montagu) 4, or, an eagle displayed gules, armed azure (Pevensey)
