Description: Spanish Ibex (Capra pyrenaica victoriae) male ruminating. After having been grazing for some time, ruminants lie down, and ruminate (i.e. fully chew and digest) that food. This is typically the best moment to try and get slightly closer for a closeup portrait. The picture, taken with a 500mm, to avoid any disturbance, was taken in Gredos mountains, Avila, Spain
