Description: Saint Croix Island, as seen from the New Brunswick side of the St. Croix River. The island was briefly settled in 1603 by Samuel Champlain before the founding of Port Royal, Acadia. It is an International Historic Site recognized by both the United States and Canada. This view is from the interpretive area established on the Canadian side of the river.
