Description: St Margaret's Church, Breckles, Norfolk, ledger stone of John Webb (1588-1658) who married Mary Richardson (1600-1656), a daughter of Sir Thomas Richardson (d.1635), of Honingham, Norfolk, Lord Chief Justice of England. Arms: Gules, a fess ermine between three owls or (Webb) (Not listed in Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.1086, which does however give "Webb of Gillingham, Kent" as Gules, a fess between three owls or, from which it may be concluded (e.g. see https://heraldryinnorfolk.wordpress.com/2012/01/09/breckles/ ) that Webb of Breckles bore the same, but with a fess ermine, as clearly shown here) impaling Or, on a chief sable three lion's heads erased of the field (Richardson) (Burke, Sir Bernard, The General Armory, London, 1884, p.853 "Richardson of Honingham, Norfolk, Sir Thomas Richardson, Lord Chief Justice") as shown on portrait of Sir Thomas Richardson (d.1635), of Honingham, Norfolk, Lord Chief Justice of England (but with field argent) (see image File:Sir Thomas Richardson, Unknown artist, Norwich Civic Portrait Collection.jpg).
