Description: Thomas Bridson Cribb, 1901. Second son of Benjamin and Elizabeth Cribb, born 1 December 1845 in London. Accompanied his parents to Moreton Bay aboard the 'Chaseley' in 1849. Educated at Ipswich Boys' Grammar School. Entered his father's mercantile and banking business. Became a senior partner, retired in 1902. Deacon of the Ipswich Congregational Church. He married Marian Lucy Foote on 3 June 1874. Appointed to the Legislative Council on 23 May 1893, resigned three years later. He was again appointed in June 1913, but was too ill to serve. He died at his Southport home on 4 September 1913. (Description supplied with photograph.).
