Description: Group of workers posing on top of bundles of cut cane, Bundaberg, ca. 1914 Bundaberg is situated at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef. Four hours drive north from Brisbane, Bundaberg is located in the heart of a rich sugar and horticultural belt. Bundaberg is identified with the locally manufactured Austoft Cane harvesters and famous Bundaberg Rum. This photograph is part of a hand coloured publication titled 'Souvenir of Bundaberg', published by W. Blaikie, Bundaberg, ca. 1914.
