Description: Pels af rensdyrskind med snipper for og bag. Frynserne hindrer kanten i at rulle op og varmen i at slippe ud. Ryggen har en stor hætte til at bære et barn i. Dekorative frynser på skuldrene. Bukser og støvler af rensdyrskind. Støvlerne har sideposer, som sandsynligvis blev brugt til at bære småting i. Fra Baker Lake, Eskimo Point og Hikoligjuaq, vest for Hudson Bay. Indsamlet på 5. Thule-ekspedition 1921-24. Parka of caribou skin with front and back flaps. The fringes prevent the edge from rolling up and loss of warmth. The back has a large hood for carrying a baby. Decorative fringes on the shoulders. Trousers and boots of caribou skin. The boots have side bags, probably for carrying small items. From Baker Lake, Eskimo Point and Hikoligjuaq, west of Hudson Bay. Collected on 5th Thule Expedition, 1921-1924. Foto: Roberto Fortuna
