Description: TI-59 programmable calculator with magnetic card reader (1977). A magnetic storage card is shown as it is put into the built-in card reader/writer via a slit on the right side of the device. The black plastic card below the display shows various mathematical functions from one (ML-11, "Triangle Solution (1)") of the built-in prestored standard software programs accessible through the function keys A-E. 25 such programs were pre-installed on an exchangeable module called solid-state software module (see Texas Instruments manual about the various modules, page 2.
