Description: The bridge of five arches, designed by Thomas Telford, carries the original Great North Road (now the A68) over the Tyne Water just outside the village of Pathhead. A smaller version of the Dean Bridge over the Water of Leith in Edinburgh, it was completed in the same year, 1831.
