Description: Tremolite Locality: Mt Ibity (Mt Bity), Ibity massif, Ibity Commune, Antsirabé 2 District, Vakinankaratra Region, Antananarivo Province, Madagascar (Locality at mindat.org) Size: 2.2 x 1.2 x 0.6 cm. A terminated gem crystal of tremolite from Madagascar - rather rough on the surface but absolutely gemmy, with fine bottle-green color, through the interior. [Originally uploaded as diopside. An identical crystal has been analyzed by RRUFF (RRUFF Id. Tremolite X050169) by Raman spectroscope and was found to be a tremolite]
