Description: The Kate Sheppard National Memorial (in full, the Kate Sheppard National Memorial to Women’s Suffrage, sometimes inaccurately known as Tribute to the Suffragettes), a bronze bas-relief by Margriet Windhausen unveiled in 1993, depicts six of New Zealand's most prominent suffragists (the term suffragette was not in use in NZ at the time): Kate Sheppard (1847–1934), Meri Te Tai Mangakāhia (1868–1920), Amey Daldy (1829–1920), Ada Wells (1863–1933), Harriet Morison (1862–1925), and Helen Nicol (1854–1932).
