Description: The Union League Club at 38 East 37th Street at the corner of Park Avenue in the Murray Hill neighborhood of Manhattan, New York City was built in 1931 and was designed by Morris & O'Connor in the neo-Georgian style. The club was an offshoot of the Union Club, and was founded in 1863 by departing Republicans who were upset about the Union Club's failure to expel sympathizers of the Confederacy from its ranks.
