Description: Folios 15 verso to 16 verso of Codex Mendoza, a 16th-century Mexican manuscript which is very likely a copy of pre-Hispanic manuscripts that no longer exist, which list the military victories of de facto emperor Moctezuma II of Mexico, who ruled through the years of 1502 or 1503 to 1520. The manuscript is written in Nahuatl writing, with transcriptions in the Latin alphabet and Spanish translations. The name of each conquered site is written along with a burning temple. Moctezuma is seen at the left of folio 15v, in front of the line at the very end of the folio showing the years he ruled. In front of Moctezuma there's a depiction of a chimalli shield, arrows and a blue spearthrower, representing war.
