This handsome 1838 Greek Revival mansion, the home of local lawyer and politico Ansley Wilcox, is where Theodore Roosevelt had the Presidential Oath of Office administered to him in September 1901, several days after his predecessor, William McKinley, was felled by an assassin's bullet at the Pan-American Exposition.
