Jamesan (formerly, Jamison and Jameson) is an unincorporated community in Fresno County, California. It is located on the Southern Pacific Railroad 8 miles (13 km) west of Kerman, at an elevation of 177 feet (54 m).
Jamison post office opened in 1893, the name was changed to Jameson in 1911, and the post office closed in 1912. The name honors J.G. James, its first postmaster.
