This list of the tallest buildings and structures in Greater Manchester ranks buildings in Greater Manchester by height.

Greater Manchester currently has fourteen towers completed at a height of 100 metres or more and a further six towers above 100 metres under construction. This is the highest number of high rises in any metropolitan area in the United Kingdom outside Greater London.

List: Completed structures

This list ranks externally complete buildings and free-standing structures in Greater Manchester that stand at least 50 metres (164 ft), based on standard height measurement. This includes spires and architectural details but does not include antenna masts.

An equals sign (=) following a rank indicates the same height between two or more buildings. The "Year" column indicates the year in which a building was completed. Buildings that have been demolished are not included.

Construction began in January 2008 but the project was placed on hold in September 2008 due to the economic recession. As of summer 2016 the developer had placed the plot on the market for sale with an extension for approved planning.

After a period after the 1960s building boom where few new significant buildings were built in Greater Manchester, the early 21st century has seen a long list of proposals meaning the skyline has been transformed in recent decades. The first towers over 100 metres were the CIS Tower and the City Tower, the latter of which kept the title of tallest building in Greater Manchester for 41 years until the Beetham Tower was completed in 2006. In 2018 Deansgate Square South Tower became the tallest building in Greater Manchester and the tallest in the United Kingdom outside London.

Due to its age and positioning in the heart of Central Manchester, City Tower is one of the most recognisable buildings in the city.

When completed in 2006, Beetham Tower was by far the tallest building in Central Manchester and a focal point in the key Deansgate area thoroughfare. Due to its size and its prominent shape, Beetham Tower is already considered an iconic development for the city.

Consisting of four towers, Tower 1 when constructed it will become the fifteenth tallest building in Manchester. It will deliver over 1,100 co-living residential apartments when constructed.

The two buildings are connected by a landscaped terrace with the larger tower for residential use while the smaller tower is for office use. Viadux bridges the Metrolink Tram service.
19= St. Michael's Tower 1 135 (443) 41 2023 Hotel / Office / Residential Central Business District Approved in June 2018, St Michael's is a major scheme consisting of two towers in the central business district of Manchester. St Michael's will include an international luxury five-star hotel featuring 216 bedrooms and 189 high-end apartments as well as 148,000 sq ft of office space. The tower will also include a stunning outdoor rooftop terrace. Construction is expected to start in summer 2020.
Renaissance Hotel Tower 1 135 (443) (Estimate) 45 2027 Hotel / Residential Central Business District Approved in June 2018, the Renaissance Hotel development on Deansgate in Central Manchester is a major scheme that will deliver three new towers. Renaissance Hotel Tower 1 is the tallest of the approved towers at 45 floors. Demolition of the current hotel on the site is due in 2024 before the new scheme will commence.
