This list of tallest buildings in North Carolina ranks skyscrapers in the U.S. state of North Carolina by height. The tallest building in North Carolina is the Bank of America Corporate Center in Charlotte, which contains 60 floors and is 871 ft (265 m) tall. The second-tallest building in the state is the Duke Energy Center also in Charlotte, North Carolina, which rises 786 feet (240 m) above the ground.

Tallest buildings

This list ranks North Carolina skyscrapers that stand at least 200 feet (60.96 m) tall, based on standard height measurement. This includes spires and architectural details but does not include antenna masts or other objects not part of the original plans. Existing structures are included for ranking purposes based on present height.

The 2 buildings include the 26-story tower, Overlook, which will deliver in the 4th quarter of 2024 and the 8-story building, Enclave, which will deliver in the first quarter of 2024. Once it delivers the complex will be the 7th largest apartment community in the Charlotte area.

The 3-acre site is currently occupied by an Enterprise Rent-A-Car location at the corner of Carson and Tryon at 1102 S Tryon St. The developers Crescent Communities and Nuveen Real Estate paid $37 million for the four parcels from different owners that make up the site. Construction will start in late 2022 and complete in 2025. The building will also contain 30,000 square feet (2,800 m2) of employee amenities which will include an 18,000 square feet (1,700 m2) sky terrace that have outdoor meeting space and a casual lounge. The second part of the employee amenities space will be a 12,000 square feet (1,100 m2) indoor lounge which will include a fitness center, locker rooms, wellness programming, and on-site conference and boardroom spaces.

Metropolitan Apartment Tower 357 / 108.8 27 2027 Approved Residential Charlotte Northwood Ravin is planning to build a 27-story 283-unit apartment tower at the corner of Metropolitan Avenue and South Kings Drive. In 2020 Northwood purchased the 1.3 acres (0.53 ha) site for $2.25 million from J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. The rezoning was approving in April 2021 originally for 330 apartments. However, the project remained stalled. It will break ground in early 2024.
Phillips Place Office Tower 250 / 76.2 10 Approved Mixed Use Charlotte Mixed used building with 250,000 square feet of office space and 20,000 square feet of ground retail that will be developed by Lincoln Harris. It will be built on the 3.65 acre site that the Regal Phillips Place currently occupies. The movie theater's lease runs until the end of 2025. Therefore, construction of the new tower will not begin until after the theater's lease expires. If built it will be the tallest building in South Park. The Regal Phillips Place closed on October 16, 2022. However, Lincoln Harris has not released any information about how this will affect the timeline for the start of construction.
