Quevedo is a city in Ecuador located in the Los Rios Province. It is the seat of Quevedo Canton. Quevedo's population is 173,000. Because of its location west of the Andes mountains and right next to the Vinces River (a major waterway and tributary to the Pacific Ocean), the city is known for its massive flooding.
